"First Aid For The Heart"
2) From Genesis to Revelation, I view all scriptures in how they relate to "AFTER THE CROSS," "COMPLETED WORKS OF CHRIST," and "OUR NEW COVENANT!"
Most believers know, and have heard it used many a time out of context, the scripture from 2 Timothy 3:16 which begins "All scripture is given by inspiration by God..." Most don't know what verse 15 says telling us WHY AND WHAT SCRIPTURE IS INSPIRED TO DO! Verse 15 says, "And from a child though hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make you wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus." That is what ALL SCRIPTURE IS INSPIRED TO DO.
In 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 Paul tells us; "1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherin ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures: 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:"
In John 5:39 Jesus says; 39"Search the scriptures, for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me."
Whenever we read the scriptures, read about the scriptures or hear messages on the scriptures, our filter is how does this relate to our new after the cross covenant life, and promises! This filter is vital to your new life in Christ.
