We Say Peace, God Says SHALOM!
Tuesday, March 20, 2018Today we'll look at a very familiar verse, Jeremiah 29:11
“11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”
Thing is the word "peace" does not do justice to the word "shalom" which is the word used in the Hebrew. Shalom is extremely rich in meaning. This is how the verse should read;
11 For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, saith the Lord, thoughts of safety, health, wholeness, wellness, prosperity, rest, completeness, soundness, because you are in covenant with me, and never thoughts of evil, TO GIVE YOU AN EXPECTED END!
Wow! Through Jesus we now have all mentioned in this awesome verse. Simply believe that you received and you shall have! I love you all very much!(NLM)
