Let This Be Your Confession!
Thursday, May 17, 2018Paul’s Work for the Church from Colossians 1. Sometimes it's best to let the word be the word!
21 And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled[*] 22 in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:”“23 if ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;[*]”KJV
Now look at the NLT
“21 This includes you who were once far away from God. You were his enemies, separated from him by your evil thoughts and actions. 22 Yet now he has reconciled you to himself through the death of Christ in his physical body. As a result, he has brought you into his own presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault.” “23 But you must continue to believe this truth and stand firmly in it. Don’t drift away from the assurance you received when you heard the Good News. The Good News has been preached all over the world, and I, Paul, have been appointed as God’s servant to proclaim it.”
And you are Holy, blameless, and stand before Him WITHOUT A SINGLE FAULT! But you must continue to believe this truth and stand firmly in it. To Paul this was fighting the good fight of faith, standing firm in the faith, being obedient to the faith, and being established in the faith! Believe you are, you can, and you have!
I love you all very much!(NLM)
