Romans 6 “2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? 3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.”

Romans 8 “2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.”

When Paul asks the question how can we who have died to sin still live in it any longer,  he asks a question because he’s under the understanding that they don’t know the truth of their new life in Christ. He goes on to say the law of the Spirit of life has set us free from the law of sin and death so if sin is still having a hold on you,  and sickness is still having a hold on you, it’s because you have opened the door to to it. That’s why it’s important to renew your mind, your soul, so that you can be transformed into your newness of life, because your old life was buried with Christ, and it was raised to newness of life with Him. This is  why Mark chapter 4 is so important,  your heart will always produce of the seeds it excepts.

For Paul it’s old life and new life and nothing in between,  no options. You decide to live in the old or you decide to live in the new,  wow!

Parallel this to how a witness protection plan works.  If you live according to your old identity they will find you (Satan) and you will die. If you live according to your new identity you will not be found by the enemy!

I love you all very much!(NLM)
